One Hell of A Bloodbath

Piranha 3D gives you exactly what you expect, and that's what made it so much fun to watch. Lots of gore and nudity, with plenty of tongue in cheek humor. No pretensions, it knows its target audience and it gives what its target audience wants. And when I say "give", this movie just keeps on giving! This movie delivers one hell of a blood bath! Appearances from Richard Dreyfuss and Christopher Lloyd made the movie even more amusing, especially for fans of those old school monster movies. Oh, and did I mention that overly extended underwater nude ballet scene? And that you'd see a lot of t*ts in 3D? Man, i feel guilty for liking this movie so much. Sure, it looks and feels like a B movie... obviously that was what the producers were aiming for. They weren't aiming for something else. Surely, you wouldn't expect Oscar quality film making when you see a movie called Piranha 3D, right? This kind of brainless fun is the perfect way to end the summer. Call me crass, call me gross, you can even call me a pig. If you don't love horror movies as much as I do, then you'll never understand why Piranha 3D is my guilty pleasure of the year.
